On July 31st, Five Acres will be hosting their ‘Swanky Party’. This will not be your usual Friday night out. Make your summer nights memorable by going to a chic, rooftop party! Right here in Pasadena, you can come to a party most only dream of attending. Feel the warm summer breeze with a cool drink in your hand as you mingle and listen to music while overlooking the beautiful lights of Pasadena. It will be a summer night to remember. Five Acres is an organization dedicated to caring for the safety of children and their families. For over 127 years, Five Acres has been dedicated to providing childcare programs and services for children and families in crisis, helping over 8,400 children and families annually. Their mission is to focus on the safety, well-being, and permanency of children that have come to them because of abuse or neglect. Join Five Acres July 31st and be moved by their hard work and dedication to these deserving children and families.

4th of July!

July 4th has finally arrived! We’ve collected a few options for you to add to your itinerary.

1. AmericaFest

Come and spend your 4th at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. This festival includes live motorcycle stunts, musical performances by a Grammy nominated Liverpool Legends Beatles Tribute Band and teen Idol star Ian Thomas, an Elvis Tribute, a viewing of Despicable Me 2 and the largest firework show in Southern California. Also there is just an area outside just for your kids with food vendors, entertainment, crafts, exhibits and inflatable rides.

2. 31st Annual Fourth of July Parade.

If you’re looking for a fun balloon float parade on July 4th, then look no further. This parade starts at 11a.m. but includes an opening ceremony 30mins prior to the start time. Each float must include some balloons, so come drift over to South Pasadena where you’ll be blown away by these floats.

3. Sierra Madre Fourth of July

Come join Sierra Madre in celebrating 4th of July with several events you can enjoy with the whole family. This fun filled day begins at 8a.m. with a firecracker fun run, followed by a parade and finishes with a community picnic that includes music, food trucks, games, and more.

If a parade isn’t what you’re interested in, then come to the largest Asian-themed night market in the United States. Hosted at the Santa Anita Park, guests can enjoy hundreds of local food, merchandise, crafts, arts, games, music, and entertainment attractions. 5th Annual Poker Bowl

The Cancer Support Community gives Pasadena a chance to play a game of poker with a purpose at their 5th Annual Poker Bowl. Throw in your chips for this elegant event in support of The Cancer Support Community of Pasadena. This all inclusive event captures the luxury of a night at the casino with perfectly restored automobiles surrounding sparkling cocktails and delicious meals catered by The Dog Haus. Guests will enjoy the thrill of Texas Holdem and the possibility of winning one of eight fantastic prizes reserved for the best players of the night. All proceeds of the event are vital in enabling the Cancer Support Community of Pasadena to provide free support for those facing cancer. This non-profit has helped more than 2,000 people in the greater Pasadena community every year affirming their belief that no one should face cancer alone.
