A Night to Remember at the 4th Annual Taste of Summer

Want to spend an evening on the coast enjoying delicious food and drink while also supporting a great cause? Look no further than the 4th Annual Taste of Summer!

Hosted by the Fulfillment Fund Leadership Council on July 25th, the event will offer some of the best food and beverage tasting of the summer. The annual gathering will combine the elegant ambiance of the renovated Victorian mansion and the costal beauty of Santa Monica for an unforgettable night. This year, the 21+ event will be catered by celebrity chef Valerie Gordon and music provided by DJ Benjamin Walker.

The Fulfillment Fund uses education to empower students in underresourced areas through instruction and mentoring. Last year’s Taste of Summer raised $90,000 for students and their communities.

This year, Rosemary Children’s theme for its 52nd Annual An Evening with Star Chefs is “Giving an Opportunity.” This event is looking to honor those that have helped give lives to the children of now and the makers of the future.

Enjoy an evening meant for the stars located at the beautiful Ambassador Mansion and Gardens – with gourmet food created by the most elite chefs in Los Angeles, live music, dancing, wine, opportunity drawings, and the famous silent and live auction. The Casa de las Amigas is a 24 hour non-medical substance treatment center for women with alcohol or drug addiction. Proceeds from the Charity Golf tournament will give the Casa de las Amigas the resources it needs to help these women recover and build self-esteem as well as an understanding of addiction prevention.

July 4th has finally arrived! We’ve collected a few options for you to add to your itinerary.

1. AmericaFest

Come and spend your 4th at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. This festival includes live motorcycle stunts, musical performances by a Grammy nominated Liverpool Legends Beatles Tribute Band and teen Idol star Ian Thomas, an Elvis Tribute, a viewing of Despicable Me 2 and the largest firework show in Southern California. Also there is just an area outside just for your kids with food vendors, entertainment, crafts, exhibits and inflatable rides.

2. 31st Annual Fourth of July Parade.

If you’re looking for a fun balloon float parade on July 4th, then look no further. This parade starts at 11a.m. but includes an opening ceremony 30mins prior to the start time. Each float must include some balloons, so come drift over to South Pasadena where you’ll be blown away by these floats.

5th Annual Poker Bowl

The Cancer Support Community gives Pasadena a chance to play a game of poker with a purpose at their 5th Annual Poker Bowl. Throw in your chips for this elegant event in support of The Cancer Support Community of Pasadena. This all inclusive event captures the luxury of a night at the casino with perfectly restored automobiles surrounding sparkling cocktails and delicious meals catered by The Dog Haus.
